Fonds consists primarily of records relating to John Whitford's activities with the Brooklin Council of Temperance. It includes printed materials such as ritual books, services, etc. It also includes a Degree Covenant Book (which notes initiations to the Templars), a Ladies Mutual Aid Assessment Book (recording payments made) and a Beneficiary Register (recording payments made). It also includes some loose papers such as a certificate of standing, and auditors statements, and various printed pamphlets and cards relating to the society.
Fonds also includes a collection book for the Upper Canada Bible Society, and a few printed materials relating to the society.
John Whitford (fl. 1883-1908) was the Secretary of the Brooklin, Ontario Council of Royal Templars of Temperance (No. 102), and a collector for the Upper Canada Bible Society.
