Fonds consists of records created and acquired by the A.E. Wicks Limited lumber company. Records include subject files concerning correspondence with customers and suppliers, government officials and departments and local railways, mainly the Temiskang and Northern Ontario Railway.
Also included are files relating to supplies for different lumber camps, business records pertaining to the management of camps and sawmills, jurisdiction classifications by the Federal and Provincial governments, insurance and financial records, ledgers and daily mill reports. Also included are records concerning Hawk Lake Industries Ltd., such as stock certificates, legal records, minutes, invoices and statements.
A.E. Wicks Ltd., founded in 1920, was a lumber company in Northeastern Ontario founded by Arne Ernie Wicks.

Records were left in A.E. Wick's garage, a building which was later occupied by Beaver Lumber Company. When this company went out of business, these records were discovered in the attic. Lorne Fleece was brought in to take care of them.
