Scope and Content

Fonds consists of the diary of Simeon Reeser. Diary entries relate to: the weather, local events, social visits, the health of family members, church activities, saw mill work, carpentry work, and farming activities (such as clearing land, purchasing and planting fruit trees, harvesting, and other work). Diary also contains recipes for white wash, cake, and a cure for rheumatism. Part of the volume was previously used for accounts.

Simeon Reesor (fl. 1860-1864) was a saw mill owner and farmer in New Market, York County, Ontario.
