Fonds consists of the official records of Torbolton Township, including Council Minutes, 1858-1898, By-laws, 1853-1889; and a Collector's Receipt Book, 1861.

Administrative History or Biographical Sketch

The Township of Torbolton, Carleton County, Ontario, was incorporated effective January 1, 1850 under the terms of the Baldwin Act, Chapter 81, Canada Statutes, 1849.
