Scope and Content

Fonds consists of the official records of Muskoka Township, including Council Minutes, 1869-1970; Assessment and Collectors Rolls, 1909-1970 (gaps); and Miscellaneous Committee and Administrative records, 1898-1970.

Administrative History or Biographical Sketch

The United Townships of Morrison and Muskoka was incorporated through Simcoe County By-law 139, effective January 1, 1865 the townships were separated under County By-law 170 passed on June 19, 1868.
