Fonds consists of the Official records of Longueuil Township, including Council Minutes, 1873-1965; By-laws, 1871- 1960; Assessment and Collectors Rolls, 1940-1962; and a General Ledger, 1972- 1973.

Administrative History or Biographical Sketch

The Township of Longueuil, United Counties of Prescott and Russell, Ontario, was incorporated effective January 1, 1850 under the terms of the Baldwin Act, Chapter 81, Canada Statutes, 1849.
