Fonds consists of the official records of Bathurst Township, including Council Minutes, 1850-1973; By-laws, 1850- 1959; Board of Health Minutes, 1898-1963; and miscellaneous municipal records.

Administrative History or Biographical Sketch

The Township of Bathurst, County of Lennox and Addington, Ontario, was established on January 1, 1850 under the terms of the Baldwin Act, Chapter 81, Canada Statutes, 1849.
