Fonds consists of records relating to Scott Young's career as an author and publisher. The fonds includes biographical data, photographs, clippings of his writing from newspapers and magazines, correspondence, examples of fiction, and manuscripts of several books.
Fonds also contains records relating to his activities as a member of the Royal Commission on Violence in the Communications Industry.

Scott Alexander Young (1918-2005) was an author and newspaper columnist for The Winnipeg Free Press, the London Bureau of the Canadian Press, Maclean's magazine, the Toronto Telegram, and the Globe and Mail.
