File consists of oral history records documenting the life and career of Justice Bruce Young (b. 1942), a lawyer who was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1971, and appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1982. He was appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice in 1987. This interview concerns his personal and professional history and was conducted as part of the Provincial Court Project. Interview topics include: family background and history; Crown Attorney’s Office – Old City Hall; Assistant Crown; Director of Crown Attorneys; Appointment to the Provincial Court, Criminal Division; associations; select cases; judges training; Courts of Justice Act and Unified Criminal Court, among others. File consists of four audio cassette recordings and a transcript with index (129 p.).
