File consists of oral history records documenting the life and career of Hon. Justice Harvey Brownstone (b. 1956), a lawyer who was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1983. He joined the Ministry of the Attorney General, Support and Custody Enforcement Branch in 1989. In 1991, he was appointed Legal Director of the Family Support Plan. He was appointed Director of the entire program in 1992 and was appointed a judge of the Ontario Court of Justice in 1995. This interview concerns his personal and professional history and was conducted as part of the Attorney General Project. More specifically, interview topics include: early experience; Legal Aid; Ministry of the Attorney General; application to be a judge, among others. File includes three audio cassette recordings and a transcript with index (102 p.).
