File consists of oral history records documenting the history of the Law Society of Upper Canada, as described by two of its members who were on a Special Committee regarding foreign lawyers practising in Ontario, James Spence and Richard Tinsley. Interview topics include: general background; Committee re: foreign lawyers practicing in Ontario; procedure for approval in Ontario; future of international law firms; uniformity of provincial standards. Interview conducted by Christine J.N. Kates. File consists of one audio cassette recording and a transcript (25 p.).
