Scope and Content

Files consist of oral history records documenting the life and career of David Walker (b. 1905), a Toronto lawyer who later became a Conservative senator. Interview topics include: his family's military history; University of Toronto; Osgoode Hall Law School; early practice; select cases; his negative views regarding female lawyers. Interview conducted by Jean Matthews. File includes six audio cassette recordings from a series of three interviews and two volumes of transcript with an index (133 p.).
