File consists of oral history records documenting the life and career of Stephen Borins (1932-2009), a lawyer who was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1961, appointed to the bench of the County Court in Brampton in 1975, and to the Court of Appeal in 1997. Interview topics include: family background; discrimination against Jews; Royal Commission into Civil Rights, 1966-1971; Bencher Law Society; Osgoode Hall Law School; training of judges; select cases and Court committees, among others. File consists of ten audio cassette recordings and a transcript with index (246 p.).
