File consists of oral history records documenting the life and career of Charley Fisher, who was the first Native Justice of the Peace in Kenora, Ontario. Interview topics include: family and marriage; Native justice system; early work in the courts as interpreter; move to Kenora, Ontario; Justice of the Peace, 1978. Interview conducted by Christine J.N. Kates. File includes two audio cassette recordings, a transcript with index (72 p.), and a copy one item of correspondence outlining how the oral history would be preserved and accessed through the Osgoode Society Oral History Programme's Oral History programme.
