Fonds consists of diaries of John F. Mould, covering the period of his training and service with the 14th Battalion and later in the 1st Canadian Labour Battalion. Described are the Battle of the Somme, and post bombardment of Ypres. His visit to the Vimy Ridge Memorial in 1936 is also described in a separate volume.
Fonds also contains 10 photographs taken during the 1936 visit to the Vimy Ridge memorial, as well as some postcards from the era. It also contains a few other postcards (including one that depicts J.F. Mould and Edith Mould), a pay book, and a poem.
John F. Mould (fl. 1914-1936) lived in St. Catharines, Ontario, and was a Private in the Canadian army.
