Included is correspondence with other pacifists, and with academics, as well as letters written by George Yamada that provide information about his family's history. The interviews and articles published about George Yamada document his life story. The photographs document Yamada's childhood in Nebraska and Wyoming in the 1920s, his extended Yamada family in the USA and Japan, as well as his married years spent on Manitoulin Island with his wife Kathleen. Also included are photographs documenting George and Kathleen's travels, and in particular their five months spent in Japan in 1992. George Yamada's personal records include notebooks, address books, records concerning his estate, as well as photographs of him and his wife Kathleen.
