Fonds F 4548
31 photographs : black and white prints
Collection consists of 31 black and white photographs of workers and a construction site on a section of highway, close to the Montreal river, in an area over one hundred miles north of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. This section of road became part of the Trans-Canada Highway after 1962.
Photographs include several hand coloured photographs of highway workers, sections of highway under construction and the workers' camp.
These photographs originally belonged to Earle Danzey, of Oshawa, Ontario. After Danzey's passing in 1953, they were then in the custody of his daughter, Gail, and his wife, Anne Lukianow. The last owners of the collection gave it to Russell and Joy Keating.
No accruals are anticipated.
