Scope and Content

Fonds consists of photographs, drawings and political cartoons, textual documents, and broadcast interviews created or accumulated by Morton Shulman in the course of his multi-faceted career and public life as coroner, millionaire investor and philanthropist, politician and physician. Amateur motion picture films and, to some extent, the textual documents provide a glimpse of Shulman's private life.

None of Shulman's activities is comprehensively documented in his fonds; some activities are documented only briefly and sparingly. The fonds best illustrates and documents the public profile of Shulman, notably in the political cartoons, photographs and broadcast interviews.

The fonds has been arranged into five series, primarily along the media of the materials.
