Scope and Content

This fonds consists of the official records of Dundalk, including Council Minutes, 1905-1958; By-laws, 1887-1964; and Assessment and Collectors Rolls, 1921-1931, 1935, 1939, 1941; Collector's Rolls 1884, 1920-1929, 1931, 1947; Independent Order of Oddfellows - Dufferia Lodge 186 Minutes, 1920-1935; and Independent Order of Oddfellows - Dundalk Lodge Minutes 1897-1935.

Administrative History or Biographical Sketch

The Village of Dundalk, Grey County, Ontario, was incorporated effective January 1, 1887 through County By-law 347, dated June 26, 1886 under the terms of the Municipal Act, Ontario Statutes, and amendments.
