Series consists of correspondence, subject files, contracts, and other operational records created and used by the French Language Education Policy and Programs Branch, and its predecessors, in the course of administering French language education in Ontario.
The series includes correspondence between several branches of the Ministry of Education and schools, boards of education, agencies, organisations and other government ministries. Also included within the series are reports, handbooks, brochures, newspaper clippings, reference letters and memoranda.
Subjects covered by these records include administrative and budgetary matters, funding/financial aid, liaison services, co-operative and educational programs and the establishment of teaching materials and curriculum, all relating to French language education in Ontario.
The majority of these records are in the French language.
