Scope and Content

Series consists of 4-H records collected by the Ontario Agricultural Museum. The records in the series document many aspects of 4-H's activities. The series are arranged in seven sub-series.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
These records were acquired by the Archives of Ontario from the archival collection of the Ontario Agricultural Museum in 1999 through an agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

The 4-H records acquired by the Ontario Agricultural Museum may have been received from a variety of sources including private donations, transfers from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and donations received as a result of the activities of the 4-H History Book and Archives Committee. The 4-H History Book and Archives Committee was made up of Ministry and 4-H representatives who came together to aid in the writing of a book on the history of 4-H in Ontario. The book was written to celebrate 80th anniversary of 4-H in Ontario.
