- Finding Aid
A partial subject and name index is available at the Archives of Ontario and known as the "Crown Lands Index" card catalogue (now on microfiche). This index covers only the years 1796-1868 and does not appear to contain all correspondence created during this period. The index provides a brief description of the piece of correspondence and a reference to the "volume" in which the correspondence is found (in that the correspondence is loose -- that is, unbound -- the volume numbers cited correspond to boxes). No page references are provided, and a date for the correspondence may or may not be given. Consequently, in order to locate a document it may be necessary to examine the microfilmed contents of an entire box. Please consult a Reference Archivist for more information.
An online box ("volume") list is available for this sub-series.
