Series consists of records created by officers of the Princess Marie JosŤ Lodge of the Order Sons of Italy of Canada in the administration of membership and other lodge activities.
These records document the following functions of the lodge: local-level administration of membership in the Order Sons of Italy and the Mutual Benefit Society; special events; and administration of lodge finances including payment of dues.
Series has been arranged into categorical groupings by record type. These categories are: correspondence (1951-1972), financial records (1951), membership lists (1947-1972), membership admission forms (1937-1982), insurance records (1934-1968), clippings (1963), and wills (1962-1971).
The Princess Marie JosŤ Lodge, established in Sault Ste. Marie in 1932, was the first female lodge of the Order Sons of Italy of Canada.
