Fonds consists of records of the Lundy’s Lane Historical Society. Included are: annual reports of the Society; a list of publications produced by the Society; two publications of the Society; notices, and invitations for unveilings of various monuments, including the Chippewa Battlefield Monument, the Chippewa-Queenston Portage Road Monument, the Navy Island Shipyard Monument, and the Battle at Cook’s Mills Monument; a programme, poem, and scrapbook of celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Lundy’s Lane; and newspaper clippings regarding the Society.
The Lundy's Lane Historical Society was formed at Drummondville, Niagara Falls, Ontario on June 23, 1887 to promote knowledge of Canadian history in general, and of the War of 1812 and the Battle of Lundy's Lane specifically.
