Upper Canada. Auditor General of Land PatentsVolumes RG 1-171-0-1 and RG 1-171-0-2 both contain notes in their fronts stating: "Brought from Toronto, June 1852. Supposed to have belonged to the Office of the Auditor General of Upper Canada. Crown Lands Dept., Quebec, 14 June 1852 [sgd] Fred. Roche". This information, coupled with the fact that these volumes are identical in appearance and in their presentation of information to other records known to have been created in the Auditor General of Land Patents Office (Series RG 1- 183, Auditor General of Land Patents' land patent records) have resulted in the these volumes being attributed to that office.
