Series consists of warrants and registers of warrants for land grants, full fees, under the Regulations of 6 July 1804. Beginning in October 1818, warrants began to replace fiats as the primary document in the land-granting process. References to full fee land grants often are identified with the code "RJ".
Series is arranged into two sub-series based on the type of record.

Upper Canada. Surveyor General's Office Canada (Province). Crown Lands Dept. Ontario. Dept. of Crown LandsWarrants were one of two types of authorities used to authorise full fee grants, generally in cases in which settlement duties were required but had not yet been fulfilled. In cases in which settlement duties were not required or were already completed, fiats were issued. These fiats can be found in Series RG 1-147, Fiats for land grants - Full fees (F.F.)
