Series consists of volumes which act as indexes to estate files created by the Surrogate Court for the District of Algoma. There is an index to individuals who were named as executors or administrators by the court. This volume is partially alphabetized by the first letter of the executor's or administrator's surname. Each entry includes: the name of the executor/administrator; the name of the deceased; and the grant book page number and grant number. The grant number acts as the estate file number. There is a partially alphabetized index to estate files. Each entry includes: name of and residence of the deceased; the nature of the grant; the grant number (i.e. estate file number); and the register book page number that appears.
