Series consists of the records of the Ontario Forest Ranger School, Ontario Forest Technical School and the Leslie M. Frost Natural Resources Centre.
Series includes planning records, correspondence, photographs, maps, and architectural drawings documenting the establishment of the Ontario Forest Ranger School facility and programming in conjunction with the University of Toronto Faculty of Forestry. Later records document the reopening of the former school as the Leslie M. Frost Natural Resources Centre, focused on outdoor education and recreation.
The series also includes records created by the Directors of the Ranger School and Frost Centre documenting their administration.
Series includes records documenting curriculum, training, educational programming and visitor services offered at the Ranger School and the Frost Centre.
Series includes records of the management of lands, waters, forests, trails, campsites and wildlife in and around the Leslie M. Frost Natural Resources Centre. Also included are operational records and documentation of studies conducted on Frost Centre lands.
Series also includes records related to the planning and administration of the University of Toronto Forestry Program, which operated in partnership with the Department of Lands and Forests to establish and manage the Ontario Forest Ranger School.
Series also includes promotional and advertising materials for the programs and services offered at the Frost Centre. A small amount of promotional material exists from the Ontario Forest Ranger School.
Series also includes histories of the Ranger School and the Frost Centre, as well as histories of the Dorset and Haliburton areas. Also included are various materials related to the 50th anniversary celebration of the Frost Centre that took place in 1995.
