Scope and Content

Series consists of three albums containing photographs of the Canadian Expeditionary Force in England, Belgium and France during the First World War. The photographer is unknown, but was presumably an official military photographer.

Images depict battle scenes, life in the trenches, political and military leaders, weapons manufacturing, devastation, parades, royal family members and views of Vimy Ridge, the Somme and Ypres.
