Scope and Content

Sub-series consists of war posters encouraging men to enlist in the war effort during the First World War, as well as posters soliciting women's assistance in getting men to enlist. There are posters that display the pay scale for men who volunteer for overseas military service, a call to bushmen and sawmills for the Forestry Battalion, a call to engineers, engineering students, and artisans for a Pioneer Battalion, and a special appeal to Irish Canadians to join the Irish Canadian Rangers.
