Biographical Sketch or Administrative History

Crawford Grier was a soldier and educator who served in the First World War and served as the Headmaster of Bishop's College School in the Eastern Townships near Montreal.

Colonel Crawford Grier was the son of Sir Edmund Wyly Grier, and was born at Toronto in 1899. He served as an artillery officer in the Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War I, taking part in the actions at Vimy Ridge and Passchendaele. Following the war he completed his education and became an instructor and eventually headmaster at Bishop's College School. During World War II he was the Director of the Royal Canadian Army Cadets.
